Nach ihrem Bachelor- und Masterstudium in Audiovisual und Multimedia an der Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France begann sie im Bereich Licht und Kamera zu arbeiten. Jetzt arbeitet sie als Kamerafrau. Als Leiterin der Bildabteilung ist sie dafür verantwortlich, die richtige Stimmung, den richtigen Bildausschnitt, die richtige Bewegung... zu finden, um die richtigen Emotionen und Botschaften zu vermitteln. Dabei stellt sie sicher, dass sie mit dem*der Regisseur*in und den anderen Projektpartnern kommuniziert, um aussagekräftige Bilder zu schaffen, die als Metaphern funktionieren. Tanz, Musik, Performance und Kunst im Allgemeinen sind ein wichtiger Teil ihrer Arbeit, aber sie mag auch erzählerische Arbeiten, in denen sie ihre ganze Kreativität zum Ausdruck bringen kann. Sie hat den Arbeitsprozess verschiedener Künstler*innen (im Tanz, Zirkus, Musik, ...) begleitet. Zum Beispiel im Musikbereich für Sarah Pascher (Portrait - Sarah Pascher und das Vivaldi Konzert für Piccolo und Orchester RV 443) oder für die Lichtkünstlerin Victoria Coeln (social media Kampagne Café chromatique by Victoria Coeln). Darüber hinaus hat sie verschiedene Tanz-Arbeiten dokumentiert und Teaser/Aftermovies für Tanz-, Theater- & Zirkusaufführungen / Festivals erstellt. Sie hat auch das Porträt von Mamadou Diabate (dem letzten Balafon-Meister) gefilmt und war Teil des Dokumentarfilms Johnny & Me (Premiere beim Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2023), der eine Mischung aus Stop-Motion und Live-Action ist, als Studio-Kamerafrau (2nd Unit). Im fiktionalen Bereich hat sie unter anderem die preisgekrönte Komödie Jakob & Maria sowie den mittellangen Film Margarete im Gefängnis gedreht. Sie hat auch mehrere Tanzfilme mit der Tänzerin und Choreografin Lisa Magnan gedreht (darunter Heiße Liebe, der vom Dance Magazine geteilt wurde, der preisgekrönte Tanzfilm Move Around, Will we meet again? und You are enough, …). Außerdem hat sie auch mehrere Musikvideos (Rivers - Amelie Tobien, Land of empty promises, Eyes lips - B.Visible und zuletzt Ella - B.Visible) gedreht. ---- Manon Pichon is from France and now lives in Vienna, Austria. After completing her Bachelor and Master's studies in audiovisual and multimedia at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, she began working in the light and camera department. She now works as a cinematographer As head of the image department, she is responsible for finding the right mood, the right frame, the right movement... to convey the right emotions and messages. To do so, she makes sure she communicates with the director as well as other partners involved in a project to be able to create meaningful images, which work as metaphors. Dance, music, performance and art in general are an important part of her work, she also likes narrative works where she can express her full creativity. She portrayed musicians, for instance Mamadou Diabate in the short documentary "The Last Balafon Master", the light artist Victoria Coeln ("Café Chromatic" by Victoria Coeln) and was part of the second unit of the animated feature documentary "Johnny & Me" relating to John Heartfield's life. She worked on several music videos, for instance Land of Empty Promises which depicts an emigrant's disillusionment with the "dreamed land," or Eyes Lips - B.Visible which relates to body dysmorphic disorder; as well as dance films such as Heiße Liebe shared in Dance Magazine, not to mention several works with a long-time partner and choreographer Lisa Magnan, like the awarded Move Around or recently, You are Enough, encouraging people to let go of the pressure and enjoy their flaws. Furthermore, she mixed digital and Super 8 footage in the awarded short comedy Jakob & Maria and filmed a medium-length play adaptation Margarete im Gefängnis, set in one room. With every project, she likes to get a new challenges and to learn something from it, both on the technical and human side.
