Biographie:

Philine Hofmann, born in Salzburg and raised in Vienna, works as a cinematographer in both advertising and narrative formats. From an early age, she explored photography in school, and after graduating she began working independently as a photographer and videographer.

Entirely self-taught, she spent several years gaining experience as a camera assistant, lighting technician, and photographer in commercials, music videos, TV and theatre productions. Since 2021, she has been working full-time as a cinematographer. In 2023 and 2024, she shot two seasons of the online series Nicht wieder Mary and Alle Lieben Ali. The series Solutionfinder, which she filmed in 2022 and which was released in 2024, is currently streaming on Amazon.

Her style is naturalistic, close to people and emotions, authentic, and never intrusive. Her work offers support, is intuitive and versatile, and she is deeply committed to showcasing diversity both on screen and behind the camera, and to creating a safe space on set for everyone involved.
