Biographie:
Maria Hengge ist am 22.3.1970 in Chicago, IL, USA geboren und in München, Deutschland aufgewachsen. 1998 hat sie ihr Schauspielstudium am Max Reinhardt Seminar in Wien abgeschlossen und bis 2005 als Ensemblemitglied am Wiener Burgtheater gearbeitet. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Schauspielerin und Regisseurin im Theater und Film, studierte sie Spielfilmdramaturgie und Filmästhetik an der Universität in Berlin-Babelsberg. 2008 realisierte sie ihren ersten Kurzspielfilm THE LAST BUS, der auf 30 internationalen Film Festivals präsentiert wurde und das Prädikat „wertvoll“ von der FBW 2009 erhielt. Von 2009 bis 2015 realisierte sie ihren ersten Langspielfilm SIN & ILLY STILL ALIVE, für den sie ebenfalls verantwortlich zeichnet für Buch, Regie und Produktion.
