Biographie:
Geboren 1985 in Košice, Tschechoslowakei. Nach dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs zieht sie zu ihrer Mutter, einer Malerin, nach Wien. Studierte Drehbuch und Regie. Zerschlag mein Herz, ein Drama über in Wien lebende und zum Betteln gezwungene slowakische Roma, war ihr Debütfilm. Makarová arbeitet als Filmemacherin in Wien. Mit dem Treatment PERLA, welches von einer tschechoslowakischen Dissidentin im Wien der frühen Achtziger Jahre erzählt, gewann sie 2020 den Hauptpreis beim Drehbuchwettberwerb IF SHE CAN SEE IT, SHE CAN BE IT.
